Kaladhaara, the brain child of Mathura Viswanathan the Artistic Director, is one of the premier dance institutes of the Greater Sacramento area. It was established in the year 2011. The modest aim of Kaladhaara is to enrich and invigorate the lives of individuals from diverse backgrounds, through the prism of Bharatanatyam learning forms, provide a dedicated platform to bridge the cultural gaps and establish a venue to demystify the ancient traditional tenets of Natyshastra through the freedom of expressions and pave the way for students to tap into their innate abilities, hone their artistic skills and and ultimately gain mastery over this nuanced and traditional Indian dance form.
Kaladhaara invites esteemed performing artists of various classical art forms from India and around the world, and hosts frequent performances, lectures, demonstrations and workshops.
